Arthur’s Quest II Slots
This enhanced version of Amaya Gaming’s original “Arthur’s Quest” features intricately detailed visuals and new elements to immerse you further into the enchanting world of Camelot. Like its predecessor, it boasts five reels, nine paylines, and showcases all the iconic characters from the tale of the legendary King Arthur. These medieval fortresses, sorcerers, and courageous Knights of the Round Table vividly spring to life on your Mac, Windows, or Linux operated laptop or desktop computer.
Time for Another Journey to Camelot
From the initial blast of the trumpet that welcomes you to this game, it’s evident that it revolves around the timeless figures that form the narrative of King Arthur, from Merlin the wizard to the enchanting Guinevere. The background music is simple and complements the overall elegance of the game’s design. Winning combinations are indicated by a brief harpsichord strum. A complete medieval melody plays during any of the three bonus games described below.
The five lower-value symbols in Arthur’s Quest II are derived from the upper part of the card deck, starting with 10 and culminating in the Ace. All five are artistically crafted in vibrant calligraphy-inspired fonts. The higher-valued symbols consist of a Weapons Set featuring three metallic weapons. At the bottom of the hierarchy are two crossed silver battle axes. Following them are a group of intertwined lances adorned with flowing ribbons. Excalibur, the mystical Sword in the Stone, serves as both the highest-paying symbol and the Wild symbol in the game.
Features
The Excalibur Wild symbol only replaces the other weapon symbols: the lances and the battle axes. Similar to the original Arthur’s Quest, this game does not incorporate a Free Games or Free Spins feature and consequently does not include a Scatter symbol. However, like its predecessor, you’ll be pleased to discover three Bonus symbols, each triggering a distinct bonus game whenever you manage to land three of the same kind simultaneously.
The regally crowned King Arthur symbol activates the Sword in the Stone Bonus Feature, Merlin with his enchanted staff initiates the Pick a Spell Bonus Feature, and the lovely Guinevere introduces you to the Enchanted Dragonfly Bonus Feature.
No Free Spins but Abundant Bonuses
Since Free Spins are not part of the offering, it’s fortunate that all three bonus games in Arthur’s Quest II appear frequently. Moreover, the multiplier is determined by the number of adjacent reels containing matching Bonus symbols. Matching 4 symbols awards a 2X multiplier, and matching 5 symbols bestows a 3X multiplier on your winnings.
Three Arthur symbols activate the Stone in the Sword Bonus Feature, where a large stone is depicted impaled with numerous swords. The gameplay involves selecting a sword by clicking on it, causing it to disappear and reveal a multiplier. Keep selecting swords until you encounter the word “Finish” instead of a multiplier under a sword. At that point, the bonus round concludes, and all the multipliers are totaled and applied to your balance. It’s especially fortunate if “Finish” appears on your initial click, as it automatically awards you the maximum prize for this mini-game.
Three Guinevere symbols unlock her Enchanted Dragonfly bonus feature. This feature transports you to a small pond where you observe a magical frog devouring dragonflies. Once the frog ultimately selects the enchanted dragonfly, the amount of winnings is displayed.
Lastly, three or more Magic Merlins activate the Pick a Spell bonus game. An open book containing four spells lies before you. Click on one of the spells to reveal the prize hidden underneath.
Same Betting Limits as Its Predecessor
Fixed paylines ensure that you wager on all nine lines during every spin. However, you have the flexibility to select a coin denomination from the following options: 0.01, 0.05, 0.25, 1.00, 2.00, or 5.00. The minimum bet per spin is 0.09, while the maximum wager allowed in a single spin is 45.00.
A Step Forward
Arthur’s Quest II is a visually stunning game, with a verdant green backdrop encircling a gray castle adorned with blue-tipped spires. While I wasn’t fond of the initial game, I believe this sequel represents a notable upgrade, both aesthetically and in terms of gameplay. While it may not secure a position on my top 10 list anytime soon, it’s a game that can provide occasional entertainment.
