A series of battles, deceptions, and intrigues unfold until Xiaoqing, the White Snake Lady’s friend (who is actually a green snake in human form), defeats Fahai. Subsequently, the terrapin monk seeks refuge in the belly of a crab. Oh, and if you’re not bewildered by all the chaos yet, Xu Xian and Bai Suzhen eventually have a baby, and they all live happily ever after (albeit somewhat perplexed about the whirlwind of events).
